hmm thought a little location update thing may be cool..so as you can see we're still in Melbourne. Well Matt and I are, Marissa is living the life of leisure in Thailand.

So, some time has past since my last update. I know! Things have been kind of busy. So surprisingly not much has changed since the last update. As you can see below our route is somewhat loose....hmm not to worry.


The three of us are starting to think about what to pack, what we can organise and how much we can 'wing it'.



So we've selected a few cars and hopefully the car of choice will be a 1999 1.3L Toyota corolla. Absolute beast of a vehicle based of course on my expert mechanical opinion.

Oh it's a GS model so hitting up Mongolia in style, tape deck and all!

Where to from now? Well not really sure, what I am sure of is I'll be in London next Wednesday. I think this is when reality will hit.

The unprepared think it's time to put some plans into action...

My Name is Brett and along with my team mates Matt and Marissa we set out to complete a charity rally from Spain to Mongolia. The three of us are College students from Melbourne, Australia. We plan on telling you about our story and give you information as we try (emphasis on the try) to plan for what is expected to be an epic journey. When we say plan that basically means 'learn shit' about cars....

We are starting this blog in the hope that we can drum up some support (donations please....lol) and entertain you at your computer desk....

So far we haven't done much however we have managed to find a route on Microsoft maps and I'm pretty sure it may end up being the one. The idea of the rally is to have some fun, do something out of the ordinary and last but not least raise money for charity. We have chosen to support the Christina Noble Childrens Foundation Limited. The charity helps children in need and has projects in Vietnam and Mongolia.

In addition to this we are also looking for sponsorship opportunities and personal donations. It's worthwhile noting that the vehicle we drive to Mongolia will be donated to a charity in Mongolia on our arrival...that's if we make it. lol

hmm that also means we are definitely up for any suggestions on a suitable car. Of course there is two restrictions - the car must be under 1200cc (each 100cc over we donate an extra 100GBP to charity) and also less than 10 years old. So start hunting.. Our plan is to purchase the vehicle in London and then drive to Spain for the start of the rally.

We are all Melbourne University Students, well technically I (Brett) am no longer as I graduated yesterday...work can wait. Marissa studies Arts/Law, Matt is studying Engineering and I studied Commerce.
